Boucquillon & Maaoui - Poetic masters of industrial design
The Bark napkin holder was created by designer duo Michel Boucquillon and Donia Maaoui. Michel Boucquillon, born in Belgium in 1962, opened the "Casa Boucquillon" in Lucca in 2000 - a house that is both a living and working space as well as a place for meditation and research. His works are exhibited in various museums and have received numerous international awards. His wife Donia Maaoui, also an architect, assists him in projects with Alessi and is mainly dedicated to sculpture in cast bronze and painting.
