Charles and Ray Eames – design duo
The Eameses are among the most important figures in 20th-century design. Besides designing furniture, they also made films, took photographs, and curated exhibitions.
Vitra is the only authorized manufacturer of Eames products for Europe and the Middle East. The legendary design duo understood, like few others, how to combine functionality with iconic design.
Material and format
The dyed-through seat shell, made of fiberglass-reinforced polyester, is available in seven original historical colors and bears the signatures of Vitra and the Eames Office on the underside as a guarantee of authenticity. The elegant La Fonda base is available in polished aluminum or powder-coated black and white, offering versatile design options. With its compact dimensions of 48.5 cm wide, 55 cm deep, and 83 cm high, and a seat height of 43 cm, the chair integrates harmoniously into a wide variety of interior design concepts without sacrificing presence. The seat cushion is available in either Hopsak (100% polyamide) or Checker (Home only: 23% polyester, 77% cotton) fabrics and can be individually configured in a range of attractive color nuances.
