Francesco Favagrossa - founding father with an inventive spirit
The Vega folding table was designed by Francesco Favagrossa, the founder of Fiam. Born in 1923, Favagrossa initially developed his technical skills in the post-war period by restoring old motorcycles. His inventive spirit led him to found the company Fiam together with his son Ennio in 1975 and to develop the first metal furniture. Since the company was founded, Francesco Favagrossa has designed most of the Fiam models himself. His designs are characterized by original design, functional solutions and carefully thought-out mechanical details - a design philosophy that is also impressively reflected in the Vega folding table.
