The  Grand Repos recliner  Bringing more quality and comfort to everyday life – the unique lounge chair from Vitra, with its generous cushions, ensures  a particularly pleasant seating experience .

One  Synchronous mechanism hidden inside the cushion  serves to move the chair from a  upright sitting position to a reclined resting position  to move. You can lock the chair in any position without any steps. The resistance of the mechanism can also be manually adjusted to the user's weight. This ensures a  Optimal back support is achieved.

Whether fabric or leather, the special feature of this designer armchair is the  decorative stitching  – They give the armchair an almost handcrafted and particularly contemporary look.

Antonio Citterio  - Designer

Antonio Citterio opened his own design studio at the age of 22 and worked there from 1987 to 1996.  together with Terry Dawn  on buildings in Europe and Japan. Together with Patricia Viel, he founded [company name] in 2000.  An interdisciplinary studio for architecture, interior design, and graphic design . Besides Vitra, it collaborates with many other renowned companies in the designer furniture industry, e.g., B&B Italia, Flos, Kartell, and Technogym.

Material and format

The Grand Repos is available in  Fabric and leather  – Below you will find a list of possible references.  Four-star base made of die-cast aluminum  is available in polished or powder-coated (basic dark=black, soft light=similar to ivory) finishes.

The ottoman consists of a plastic sheet, polyurethane foam, and polyester wadding. Its frame is made of die-cast aluminum.

The Grand Repos is built by a small group of selected and qualified Vitra employees.  Sewn by hand . Depending on the manufacturer's order volume, a longer waiting time should therefore be expected.
