The high version of the Pivot is 30 cm higher than an ordinary office swivel chair, making it ideal for working at a high table. Long and rigid sitting is not suitable for the human body. The dynamic change between sitting and standing is part of a good, ergonomic work.

Details such as the height-adjustable footrest and the reverse-braked castors perfectly support this method of working.

Antonio Citterio - Designer

Antonio Citterio opened his own design studio at the age of 22 and worked with Terry Dawn on buildings in Europe and Japan from 1987 to 1996. Together with Patricia Viel, he founded an interdisciplinary studio for architecture, interior design and graphic design in 2000. In addition to Vitra, he works with many other well-known companies in the design furniture industry, such as B&B Italian Flos, Kartell and Technogym.

Material and size

The seat and back shell of the Pivot Counter Stool are made of polypropylene foamed with polyurethane foam and covered with a knitted cover. The frame is a five-star base in polyamide or die-cast aluminium. The seat height is adjustable. The height of the foot ring can also be adjusted. It is made of polyamide and has an anti-slip coating.
