Lightness with substance: Remo chair from Plank 

The Remo chair from Plank combines a clear, light silhouette with remarkable suitability for everyday use. The ergonomically moulded plastic shell and the precisely crafted metal frame create a visual lightness that is both robust and durable. Remo is stackable and available in a wide range of colours, allowing it to blend seamlessly into living areas, restaurants and modern working environments. In the outdoor version with a galvanised frame, it also impresses with its weather resistance. 

The most important features at a glance 

  • Dimensions: width 55 cm, depth 48 cm, height 78 cm; seat height: 45 cm 
  • Construction: polypropylene seat shell; tubular metal frame 
  • Frame: chrome-plated for indoor use or galvanised for outdoor use 
  • Colours: black, white, basalt grey, signal grey, green-blue, yellow-grey, avion blue, fern green, oxide red, pastel green, coral red, sulphur yellow 
  • Properties: stackable; wide range of colours, versatile in use
  • Cleaning: clean the seat shell and frame with a soft, slightly damp cloth and mild detergent; do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents 

Konstantin Grcic - precision, material culture, cultural impact 

Konstantin Grcic completed a carpentry apprenticeship at Parnham College and a Master's degree at the Royal College of Art in London. Since 1991, he has been designing furniture, products and exhibitions - now based in Berlin; numerous works can be found in the collections of MoMA New York and the Centre Pompidou. He has been awarded the Compasso d'Oro several times. He has been a professor of design at the HFBK Hamburg since 2020 and a member of the Akademie der Künste in Berlin since 2022.
