Ergonomic: Tabouret N° 307 stool from Vitra
The Tabouret N° 307 was developed by designer Jean Prouvé, who at the time named his various stools after numbers. Designed in the 1950s, the stool has a seat in the shape of a tractor saddle and is thus reminiscent of the sketch in the amphitheatre of the University of Aix-Marseille, which was designed by Prouvé at the same time. The oak seat together with the slender tubular steel creates an aesthetic contrast that makes the stool an eye-catcher in any interior.
Jean Prouvé - French design
Throughout his life, Jean Prouvé described himself as a designer, as he was both the designer and producer of his designs. From letter openers, lights and furniture to prefabricated houses - the French designer's work is particularly extensive and encompasses pretty much everything that can be constructed and industrially manufactured.
Material and format
The Tabouret N° 307 is available in solid oak wood in a natural or dark finish. The base is made of powder-coated steel, while the seat is made of solid oiled oak. The stool is 45.5 cm wide, 44.5 cm high and 45.5 cm deep. The seat height is 38 cm.
