The beautiful Elliptical Table ETR is one of many masterpieces from the pen of designers Charles & Ray Eames. The icon of table design is characterised by its typical steel substructure and simple design. It was not without reason that the world-famous table was nicknamed the "Surfboard Table", as the design was actually modelled on the shape of a surfboard.
Charles and Ray Eames - design duo
The Eames couple are among the most important personalities in the field of design in the 20th century. In addition to designing furniture, they also made films, took photographs and put together exhibitions. Vitra is the only authorised manufacturer of Eames products for Europe and the Middle East.
Material and format
The Vitra Elliptical Table ETR is made of poplar plywood and a base frame of chrome-plated tubular steel. The laminated HPL top is available with a black or white lacquer finish. The table is 226.7 cm wide, 74.6 cm deep and 25.5 cm high.
