USM Haller - an unrivalled success story
Elegant design in technical perfection - a standard that USM Haller has set itself for many years. What began in 1885 as an ironmongery and locksmith's shop developed into a world-famous manufacturer of high-quality steel furniture thanks to the collaboration between Paul Schärer and the architect Fritz Haller. USM Haller's success story, which continues to this day, began with the furnishing of the Rothschild Bank in Paris in 1969. The potential of the innovative modular furniture system was quickly recognised and it became world famous. in 2001, USM Haller furniture even became part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
What makes the system so special? The so-called USM centre point, which allows maximum flexibility thanks to several holes with screw threads and was patented in 1965. This special construction system means that the timelessly beautiful and particularly durable pieces of furniture, which are popular all over the world, can be customised and extended as required.
