The couple Sonja Djønne and Thoralf Lian founded Heymat with the idea of combining the high quality demands placed on industrial doormats with modern Norwegian design. Thoralf Lian's experience in the field of industrial doormats goes back to the knowledge of three generations. His wife Sonja Djønne, with her interest in interior architecture and design, brings the aesthetic component that creates the special look of Heymat floor mats.
