The stool from the Plopp series is a style icon and as such the most successful of the Zieta products.
It looks like it has been inflated, but is made of solid steel.
Its shape is due to the manufacturing process. The unique, toy-like and playful shape of the Plopp stool results from its innovative moulding process - FiDU . The material is inflated with air under internal pressure , causing the thin steel plates to expand into the intended shape. As not every process is the same and the material is not always moulded completely identically, each customer receives their own unique piece.
Since it was introduced to the market, the Plopp stool has been shown at many exhibitions worldwide and has won many prestigious awards - including the Red Dot Design Award 2008, the German 'Gute Form' prize 2008 and the Forum AID Award 2009.
The Zieta Plopp stool is available in many beautiful colours.
