The DKR Wire Chairs are a variation of the Eames Plastic Side Chairs – also well-known is the legendary Eiffel Tower base , which combines transparency and functionality .
The Wire Chairs, made of welded steel wire, take up the theme of the organically shaped, one-piece seat shell of their plastic counterparts and refine it through their transparency and technical sophistication. In 2016, Vitra raised the bases of the Wire Chairs by approximately 20 mm to improve seating comfort at contemporary tables .
Charles and Ray Eames – design duo
The Eameses are among the most important figures in 20th-century design . In addition to designing furniture, they also made films, took photographs, and curated exhibitions. Vitra is the only authorized manufacturer of Eames products for Europe and the Middle East.

The DKR5 is a chair with a removable and reattached seat cushion , available in Hopsak fabric or leather . It measures 49 cm wide, 51 cm deep, and 85 cm high. Its seat height is 43 cm.
