Grythyttan Stålmöbler is a traditional Swedish family business with roots dating back to 1895, when founder Karl Lindqvist and his friend Theodor Berg opened a blacksmith's shop in the village of Grythyttan, west of Stockholm. In 1930, the company designed and manufactured its first chair, the legendary A2 armchair, which was presented at the Stockholm Exhibition.
