The Tolomeo table lamp is the centrepiece of any workplace, but alsocuts a very fine figure in the living area and provides a pleasant and direct light.

Its elegant swivelling arms can be adjusted in all directions so that every angle can be well illuminated. The luminaire head of the Tolomeo Tavolo is also flexible and rotatable. It is equipped with a stable table base and has an aluminium body. This makes it very robust and durable, which makes it a very popular light source in the office in particular.

Design duo Michele De Lucchi & Giancarlo Fassina

Michele de Lucchi graduated in architecture at the Politecnico in Milan. From 1989 to 1993, he worked with Studio Sottsass Associati on various architectural and industrial design projects before setting up his own studio in 1994. Among other things, he worked on important architectural projects in north-eastern Italy such as the historic Enel archive centre in Mestre.

Giancarlo Fassina quickly focussedon lighting design after completing his studies at the Milan Politecnico . Light is Fassina's vocation - he is fascinated by every detail and studied shadows, angles and exposure factors.

Together with Michele De Lucchi, he won the Compasso d'Oro in 1989 for the design of Artemide's Tolomeo luminaires.

Material and format

The design lamp is made of aluminium and plastic-stabilised parchment paper. The base is made of polished aluminium. The luminaire also has a spring balancing system.
