Timeless glass art meets soft light: Vetra 43 pendant light from marset
The Vetra 43 pendant light from marset combines a frosted, hand-blown glass shade with a lacquered aluminium diffuser to create a calm, precise silhouette. Most of its light is directed downwards, while a filtered portion falls back into the shade, subtly illuminating it. This makes it equally suitable for dining tables, kitchen islands or reception areas where clear, low-glare illumination is required. With integrated LED technology and TRIAC dimming, the atmosphere can be flexibly adjusted from functional to cosy.

Joan Gaspar - Barcelona's pioneer of minimalist lighting design
Joan Gaspar was born in Barcelona in 1966, studied industrial design at the Escuela de Artes y Oficios and began his career in 1988 with the development of minimalist luminaires. Since the 1990s, he has worked closely with the Spanish lighting manufacturer Marset, for whom he developed iconic product lines such as "Mercer" and "Ginger". He has been awarded the Delta Prize several times for his work, including in 2001 for the Atlas luminaire series and in 2005 for the Neón de Luz. Since 1998, he has also been teaching materials and technology at the renowned Elisava School of Design in Barcelona, combining practical design work with passing on his knowledge to the next generation.
