Here comes the junior version: Aki Jr pen holder from B-Line
Aki (the Japanese word for autumn) was originally designed as an umbrella stand. Aki Jr is the compact version of the design object. Thanks to its minimalist design, it can be harmoniously integrated into modern living spaces. Thanks to its practical compartments and recesses, Aki Jr is not only ideal for use on a desk. How about as a shelf on a console in the hallway, for example, or as an organiser in the bathroom for make-up brushes?
The design
The Italian Rodolfo Bonetto did not learn the craft of design in the traditional way. He acquired his knowledge as an autodidact. However, this did not detract from his skills. He was honoured with the Compasso d'Oro six times and also worked as a lecturer at a university for several years. Bonetto designed almost everything he could get his hands on: from car interior panelling to alarm clocks.
