Folk art: NEW VERSION Eames House Whale sculpture by Vitra
The 2 metre long wooden whale became famous as part of the furnishings of the Eames House by Charles and Ray Eames. Vitra now offers it in a smaller replica made of hand-painted ash wood. The legendary Eames House was filled with a combination of their own designs and a collection of folk art - including the whale. The hand-painted object from North America had a permanent place in the Eames Office and was also used in numerous photo shoots.

The Eames couple are among the most important personalities in the field of design in the 20th century. In addition to designing furniture, they also made films, took photographs and put together exhibitions. Vitra is the only authorised manufacturer of Eames products for Europe and the Middle East.
