The designer Marta Sansoni, who was commissioned by Alessi to research the use and tasting of oil, has created Fior d'olio.
The result is a stainless steel dispenser cap that can be placed on oil bottles or seal a small glass container specially designed for tasting oil. Its beak-shaped spout allows you to measure out exactly how much oil you want to pour over your food. At the same time, the seal prevents the oil from oxidising and thus turning sour.
Fior d'olio by Alessi is a small technical jewel, which with its iconic design takes up the "green gold" as a main component of our cuisine.
