Playful look: Hippo counter stool low bar stool from NORR11
With a contrasting mix of soft curves and clear, angular lines, Hippo is a stylish piece of design furniture that enhances any room with its special character. As the name suggests, the design was actually modelled on the stately hippopotamus with its barrel-shaped body.
Design team Hansen + Hyldahl
As the founder, designer Tommy Hyldahl is responsible for the manufacturer's creative DNA. His great passion for materials and production processes is evident in every single product. Since 2015, he has been working together with Kristian Sofus Hansen, who graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. The two share a passion for Japanese simplicity and Scandinavian tradition, which is reflected in each of their design pieces.
NORR11 - Scandinavian design
The Danish furniture manufacturer NORR11 was founded in 2011. The company's focus is to redefine and rethink the understanding of Scandinavian design and thus create timeless pieces of furniture that combine the present and the past. This goal is achieved through collaboration with innovative young designers. This results in products that combine appealing design, great craftsmanship and outstanding quality.
Material and format
The low Hippo bar stool is 47.5 cm wide, 59 cm deep and 98 cm high. The seat height is 65 cm. The frame is made of solid, FSC-certified oak wood in various colours. The seat and backrest cushions with foam filling can be ordered with the following optional covers:
