Playful look: Hippo sofa from NORR11
As the name suggests, the design of the Hippo series was actually modelled on the stately hippopotamus with its barrel-shaped torso. The Hippo sofa completes the popular collection, which is characterised by its soft and playful shapes. With its organic, elegant look, the design sofa gives the room a particularly stylish character and is therefore the perfect choice for both formal occasions and the living room.
Design team Hansen + Hyldahl
As the founder, designer Tommy Hyldahl is responsible for the manufacturer's creative DNA. His great passion for materials and production processes is evident in every single product. Since 2015, he has been working together with Kristian Sofus Hansen, who graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. The two share a passion for Japanese simplicity and Scandinavian tradition, which is reflected in each of their design pieces.
NORR11 - Scandinavian design
The Danish furniture manufacturer NORR11 was founded in 2011. The company's focus is to redefine and rethink the understanding of Scandinavian design and thus create timeless pieces of furniture that combine the present and the past. This goal is achieved through collaboration with innovative young designers. This results in products that combine appealing design, great craftsmanship and outstanding quality.
Material and format
The Hippo sofa is 235 cm wide, 91 cm deep and 74 cm high. The seat height is 42 cm. The wooden frame is upholstered with moulded foam. The Hippo sofa is available with different fabric covers.
