Comfortable & versatile: Layout Armchair 234 from HAY

The Layout Armchair 234, designed by Julien Renault, combines high seating comfort with a clear design language and circularity. The characteristic opening in the backrest provides comfortable support and gives the chair a light, transparent appearance. The upholstered seat and backrest give the 234 a warm, inviting appearance, while the elegant swivel base offers stability and freedom of movement.

All components can be completely dismantled, which extends the service life and enables subsequent refurbishment. The seat shell is made from at least 96 % recycled post-consumer plastic and is available in a wide range of colours. The four-star base frame made of aluminium is available in a polished or powder-coated finish. Various fabrics and leather with olive leaf tanning are available for the seat and backrest. This makes the Layout Armchair 234 perfect for offices, conference rooms, public facilities and private living areas.
