The new, purposeful design by Carl Hansen & Søn helps to bring people and nature together in a thoughtful and inspiring way. Made from solid, untreated and FSC-certified teak, the straight-lined silhouette of the products is characterised by carefully considered details, including gently rounded ends and evenly spaced rivets.
Børge Mogensen - designer of the people
Børge Mogensen is considered a "designer for the people " - partly because of his pleasant personality and partly because he designed high-quality furniture that was also accessible to the masses .
He is one of the most influential designers of the post-war period and a leading representative of Danish Modern. he founded his own design studio in 1950 and produced modern and useful furniture from local Nordic materials.
