Industrial design: Panton Wire cover plate D70 from Montana
The Panton Wire system was designed by Verner Panton in 1971. The industrial-style wire shelf is uncomplicated, light and elegant. The modules are available in different sizes and colours and can be used individually or in combination - on the floor, hanging on the wall or as a room divider. The rectangular modules and the hanging shelf are ideal for creating a more asymmetrical look. Add this cover plate to use your shelf as a sideboard or table, for example.
Verner Panton - Designgenie
Born in Denmark, Verner Panton studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen after attending technical school in Odense. After graduating, he worked with the designer Arne Jacobsen and founded his own design studio in 1955. His Panton Chair is considered an absolute classic of modern furniture design and one of its early versions even made it into the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
Material and format
The Panton Wire cover plate is 70.1 cm wide, 34.8 cm deep and 12 mm high. It is available in lacquered MDF and marble. The cover plate is supplied with four small rubber clips to prevent it from slipping.
