Comfort 2.0: Can armchair from Hay
Elegant, comfortable and practical - the Can series impresses with its modern look, which is characterised by casual simplicity. The slim frame made of powder-coated steel is made cosier by the outer canvas cover, creating a great contrast between the natural material and the industrially manufactured steel.
The armchair is flat-packed and can be easily assembled from the three basic elements.
Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec
The Bouroullec design duo consists of brothers Ronan and Erwan, who were born in Quimper, France. Since 1999, the two have been running their design studio in the Belleville neighbourhood of Paris as equal partners. From small everyday objects to large architectural projects - their field of work is extremely varied.
Material and format
The frame of the Cane armchair is made of black powder-coated steel. The frame is also available in a chrome-plated version on request. The armchair is upholstered and covered in a fabric of your choice. The frame is covered with canvas on the outside. It is 97 cm wide, 89 cm deep and 82 cm high. The seat height is 40 cm.

- Linara fabric: 63% cotton, 37% linen
- Hallingdal fabric: 70% pure new wool, 30% viscose
- Steelcut fabric: 90% new wool, worsted yarn, 10% nylon
