Baltensweiler
Baltensweiler was founded in 1951 by Rico Baltensweiler (1920 - 1987) and Rosmarie Schwarz (born 1927) in Lucerne:
Today, the company is based in Ebikon on the outskirts of Lucerne.
This is where Baltensweiler's timeless luminaires are developed and produced in runs of 100 - 1000 units, which can certainly be described as an exceptional company philosophy.
Baltensweiler's luminaires are characterised by aesthetics and functionality, e.g. the floor lamp "Halo 250", the table lamp "Spagetto" and the work lamp "Type 60" and have received various awards, e.g. the Golden Plug for the table lamp "Zett" in 2003.
The Baltensweiler company has fitted out the Basel public prosecutor's office and various bank buildings with its lighting installations.
In 1990, the Museum für Gestaltung in Zurich added the Type 600, Type 60, Aladin, Wesir, Kalif and Halo lamps to its collection.
