As early as 1925, designer Poul Henningsen created his three-part lampshade, which would go on to achieve great fame. in 1958, the pioneer of lighting design then created the corresponding lamp collection. As with all his designs, Poul Henningsen was primarily concerned with creating luminaires with glare-free light so that they cast soft shadows and the light cone is perfectly aligned. The iconic lampshades not only provide pleasant lighting, but are also a beautiful visual highlight.
Louis Poulsen - lighting design from Denmark
The Danish lighting manufacturer was founded back in 1874 and has been producing products dedicated to the duality of design and light ever since. The luminaires are designed for a wide variety of purposes and are therefore particularly functional. Louis Poulsen produces both indoor and outdoor luminaires in close collaboration with well-known designers such as Poul Henningsen, Arne Jacobsen, Verner Panton, Øivind Slaatto, Alfred Homann, Oki Sato and GamFratesi.
