La Palma

La Palma is an Italian family business founded in 1978 by the brothers Dario and Romano Marcato. The claim is high: La Palma should produce furniture for eternity. The word eternity refers to both quality and design. At a time when the word sustainability is not yet a buzzword, La Palma already attaches great importance to an environmentally friendly and sustainable manufacturing process.
La Palma 's design objects have a rational aesthetic. They are intended to accompany people through their everyday lives. La Palma's style is intended to create a peaceful ambience while designing refined and functional spaces. The well thought-out function of La Palma allows the user to simply enjoy moments and situations.
La Palma primarily uses natural raw materials such as leather, wicker, metal, glass and wood from controlled cultivation for its furniture. In the production facility near Padua, the function and material of all products are thoroughly tested in extensive quality controls before they are released onto the market. Thanks to this high quality and uniquely rational lines, La Palma 's ecological furniture has already received numerous awards. La Palma received the "Japanese Good Design Award" in 2001 and the "FX International Interior Design Award" in 2003, among others.
La Palma primarily produces chairs, bar stools, tables and coffee tables in collaboration with various designers and international artists. The products of the Japanese couple Azumi have received numerous awards. Their most successful design is the LEM bar stool, which quickly became a design classic and quite rightly won the Good Design Award. The popular Thin chair series was designed by Karri Monni, an internationally renowned Finnish designer and interior architect. Schöner Wohnen named the Thin series from La Palma one of the first 100 classics of our century. His bar stool Miunn received the "Interior Innovation Award 2012".
